Dealership on backorder? We repair the internal failure that causes the C2200 code on Jeep Wrangler JK, JKU, and JL platforms at the component level. Your original module, restored. No reprogramming. No VIN mismatch. Mail-in from anywhere in Canada.
Warning Signs
Is Your Jeep Wrangler Throwing the C2200 Code?
C2200 code returns
Code returns after clearing — often accompanied by C100A, C102B, or wheel speed sensor codes that are actually caused by the internal module fault
Lights appear
After battery replacement or in cold weather — classic trigger for a module already on the edge of failure
ABS warning light stays on
Does not clear with scanner, returns immediately after reset
Traction control light (ESP/BAS) stays on
Often illuminates at the same time as the ABS light
Brake warning light
Brake warning light or "Service Brake Assist" message on the dashboard
Anti-skid / hill descent control disabled
Critical for off-road Wranglers
Cruise control disabled
Cruise control refuses to engage
Scanner cannot communicate
No communication with the ABS module, or communicates intermittently

If your scan tool shows C2200, your ABS module has an internal microprocessor failure. No amount of cleaning connectors, replacing wheel speed sensors, or bleeding the brake system will fix it. Chrysler's own service manual lists only two steps for C2200: confirm the code, and replace the module.
That is where we offer a third option.
Smart Choice
Why Board-Level Repair Is the Right Answer for Your Wrangler
Save 50–70% vs. Dealership Replacement
Dealership replacement including parts, labor, and programming commonly runs $1,800–$2,500 for a JK or JL Wrangler. Our board-level repair costs a fraction of that, and carries a warranty covering the repaired components.
Your Original Module, Restored
We repair the exact module that came out of your Wrangler, then return it to you ready to install. No VIN programming, no transfer case coding, no steering angle recalibration, no security handshake with the BCM. The module is already married to your vehicle.
Faster Than the Dealership Backorder
While owners wait six weeks or more for a dealership part that may never arrive, our typical repair turnaround is 3–5 business days from the moment we receive your module. Ship it Monday, drive with ABS restored by the following week.
What We Actually Repair on Jeep ABS Modules
The ATE MK25-series ABS pump and module assembly used on JK and JKU Wranglers — and the updated unit on the JL — has well-understood internal failure modes. We don't guess. After more than two decades of board-level electronics work and hundreds of Wrangler-specific repairs, here is what we actually do:
C2200 Internal Processor Repair
The C2200 code means the ABS module's internal microprocessor has stopped responding. We identify the failed chip under magnification, desolder it cleanly, verify the surrounding circuitry, and install a functionally identical replacement rated for automotive service temperatures and cold-climate duty cycles.
ATE Control Board Rebuild
The ATE control board driving the hydraulic pump and solenoids is where most internal failures originate. We rework cracked solder joints, replace degraded capacitors, restore damaged PCB traces, and re-flow BGA components on the main controller. This addresses the root cause instead of masking it.
Pump Motor Driver Circuit Restoration
The internal relay and driver transistors that power the hydraulic pump burn out over years of winter duty cycles. We test each driver stage, replace failed components, and verify the pump runs at correct voltage and current under simulated ABS activation.
Solenoid Driver Repair
Each solenoid valve in the HCU is controlled by a dedicated driver circuit on the module. When a driver fails, the ABS system enters a safe mode and disables itself. We locate and repair individual driver failures rather than replacing the entire assembly.
Corrosion and Moisture Damage Recovery
Wrangler ABS modules live in a harsh environment — engine bay heat cycles, water crossings, brake fluid vapor, winter salt. We clean affected boards under magnification, neutralize corrosion, repair lifted traces, and apply a fresh layer of conformal coating for long-term protection.
Post-Repair Function Verification
Before any module leaves our bench, we power it up on a test rig, cycle each solenoid, verify pump motor operation, and confirm the module communicates on CAN with no internal fault codes. You receive a module that has already proved itself before it goes back in your Jeep.

Description
ABS Module Repair for Every Jeep Wrangler Generation
JK & JKU (2007–2018) — Primary Focus
The JK and JKU Wrangler Unlimited are the single most common vehicles on our bench for ABS module repair. The ATE MK25 unit used on these vehicles has a well-documented internal processor failure mode (C2200), affecting Sport, Sahara, Rubicon, and Rubicon Hard Rock trims equally. Repair applies equally to 2-door JK and 4-door JKU.
JL & JLU (2018–present)
The JL platform introduced an updated ABS/ESC module. While more reliable than the JK unit overall, it shares the same internal architecture family and presents with very similar C2200-class failures, particularly on early production 2018–2020 models. We repair JL modules at the board level using the same methods refined on JK units.
TJ (1997–2006)
The TJ Wrangler uses an earlier ABS module design with different failure modes — typically pump motor relay failures and solenoid driver issues rather than internal processor faults. We service these at the board level as well.
YJ (1987–1995)
The original square-headlight YJ Wrangler did not have ABS on most trims. If your YJ was fitted with an aftermarket or dealer-added ABS system, send us the module details and we'll confirm whether it's something we service.
Also Serviced (Related Jeep Platforms)
We routinely repair the same ATE MK25 ABS module used on Jeep Grand Cherokee (WK2, 2011–2021) and Jeep Liberty (KK, 2008–2012) — the part numbers overlap with JK Wranglers, and the failure modes are identical.

FAQ'S
Find answers to common questions about ABS repair.

Is the C2200 code always an internal module failure?
In nearly every case we see, yes. The Chrysler service manual itself lists only two diagnostic steps for C2200: verify the code is present, and replace the module. If cleaning wheel speed sensor connectors, replacing sensors, or checking grounds made the code go away, it was a different underlying issue and C2200 was a secondary code. A standalone, persistent C2200 that returns after clearing means the module's internal microprocessor has failed, and only a module-level repair or replacement resolves it.
